What is a custom bobblehead from a photo?
It is a one-of-a-kind figure whose face is hand-sculpted in polymer clay to look like the person or pet in your photo. At YOUCLAY, artists sculpt each head by hand instead of printing it. You can order a single figure, a couple, a family or group of up to 10 figures, and pets. After sculpting, each piece is baked at 200°C to set the shape. How much does a custom bobblehead cost?
Prices depend on how many figures are in your bobblehead, from $99 for a pet figurine to $899 for ten figures. These are the current YOUCLAY price ranges (the range depends on the options you choose):

Does a pet count as a figure?
Yes, a pet counts as one figure in a set. For example, a couple with their dog is a three-figure bobblehead, and a family of three with a dog fits a four-figure set.
Are there extra costs for accessories?
Small accessories are free, and only big accessories cost extra. Books, glasses and hats are included at no charge. Larger items such as chairs, guitars or pets are charged. Add the accessory to your order notes and send a reference picture.
Will I pay import taxes?
International recipients may have to pay VAT, import taxes, customs duties or fees set by their country. These charges are paid by the recipient. YOUCLAY has no control over them and cannot predict them.

What photo do I need to send?
One clear, front-view photo of each person or pet is enough. The artist sculpts the face from your photo, so photo quality matters more than anything else. Choose a sharp, well-lit picture where the face is clearly visible and not covered by sunglasses, hands or heavy shadows. If you have extra photos, email them to business@youclay.com. If you can't upload a photo at checkout, you can send it by email after you purchase.
Can I choose the pose and outfit?
Yes, you can describe the pose, outfit and any special requests in the "Note" box on the product page. You can also email the details to business@youclay.com.
Can I change my photo or pose after ordering?
Changes are free within 48 hours of placing the order. After 48 hours, a pose change or face-photo change costs an additional $15, because the artist has to sculpt a new body or remake the face.
What should I expect from the finished bobblehead?
Expect a handmade art piece that captures the person's features, not a photographic copy. Sculpting a person is an art, not a science. Even with a good photo, some people may see a strong resemblance while others see it less. That's why a clear photo is so important. A single bobblehead weighs about 500g (approx. 17.5 oz.), or about 700g (approx. 24.5 oz.) packaged.
Can I return a custom bobblehead?
No, every bobblehead is custom-made, so all sales are final. We cannot offer refunds, cancellations or exchanges, which is why it's worth double-checking your photo and notes before you order.
Can I order a celebrity bobblehead?
Not without the celebrity's permission. If you can verify the relationship and get permission, we will provide an authorization form. Otherwise, we can sculpt a celebrity's or athlete's body and outfit with a custom head of you, a friend or a family member.
